Reggae DJ & Selecter

Japan is one of the top five countries in the world that embraces dancehall style Reggae DJ and Selecter - sound, and have quite a few fairly good players to its credit.

However, the level of professionalism is much lower than in other countries - Europe, etc. The main reason is not so much the technique of spinning records or playing CDs but a lack of knowledge and experience on a real performing stage in the dancehall. This means real challenges are rare so growth is stifled. Together with no real channel to learn, most DJs and Selecters basically just copy their sempais' outrageous performances and get stuck in what they believe to be right thing but is as far away from the real thing as they can ever get.

In order to prove that with proper guidance and practical training, BRAATA - previously JaLA, entered its student in the all Japan Nogizaka Cup yearly contest a few years ago and won the first prize two years in a row.

BRAATA's students were so powerful that by the end of the first round everyone could see that they would have been the winners. Their competitors, who were totally outclassed, were way below in every category.

BRAATA is THAT good.
